Around the time of the bi-centennial I spotted an advertisement for an Australia Day speech contest. I thought "What would one talk about on such an occasion?" I took notes of ideas and information. I directed my reading into certain areas with the intention of finding out where Australia could be heading and what might be done to influence that direction. I attempted to find out what the lessons of history might teach us. These findings I turned into a talk - "A Vision for Australia" Based on the feedback from those talks I composed 'I choose Australia'. This has been published in the form of a Greeting Card and a Diploma which have, amongst other events, been presented at New Citizenship Ceremonies, Harmony Days and to school children.
